The Challenge

Riehs Florist has been serving Philadelphia since 1885. Known for its quality, tradition, and loyal customer base, the brand needed a visual refresh that honored its heritage while feeling modern, warm, and accessible to a new generation of flower lovers.

Our goal was to create a timeless identity that would:
• Celebrate the shop’s long-standing legacy
• Feel fresh and welcoming across all platforms
• Normalize the everyday gifting of flowers — not just for special occasions.

The Concept

At the heart of the rebrand is a simple message: Flowers aren’t just for milestones — they’re for Mondays.

The goal is to shape a culture where gifting flowers feels natural, everyday, and thoughtful. We're bringing flowers back into dating culture, celebrating the joy of giving flowers to parents, and normalizing flower gifting for men too.

“For love. For friendship. For no reason at all.”

We built this brand around small, meaningful gestures—focusing on connection, appreciation, and everyday love.

Inspired by Baroque patterns, the logo takes the shape of a badge — a nod to the business's long history and sense of honor. The symmetrical, butterfly-like mark combines classic flourishes with a modern minimalist form, making it feel both decorative and refined.

Color palette:

  • Tiffany Blue — a soft, elegant base with timeless appeal

  • Rich Bronze — for warmth, heritage, and a sense of celebration

The final design is simple and responsive, functioning beautifully across large signage, digital platforms, printed materials, and packaging.

A brand identity board for Riehs Florist featuring the primary logo with a butterfly-shaped monogram and the tagline “flowers for any occasion.” The board includes a color palette inspired by vintage interiors and fresh blooms, logo variations, ornamental patterns, mobile screen mockup, and storefront signage. The overall style is warm, nostalgic, and elegant, reflecting the florist’s long-standing tradition since 1885
